Personal factors:

To have a good physical training condition and relative experience in the use of the bicycle is more important than the own age of the participant. You know yourself better than nobody does, for that reason you must be aware of personal factors.

Other factors:

The other factors are variable and depend on each stage.

Maximum 90 km by stage.

Land

To pedal in Andalusia can be quite hard, just in some cities only exist cycleways. We will use calm and safe ways, the majority of earth. In the case of circulating around we would always do it to asphalt by highways of local or regional importance. The quality of the ways changes from bad to very good.

Climate

Heat is a factor to consider. Andalusia is characterized per periods of droughts and little rain. The wind normally is not strong, except on the coast. Summers are very warm and dry, in the interior the temperatures raise of 40º. In the zones of mountain and coast the temperature is smoother. The best periods to pedal are spring and autumn. In winter the temperature by day oscillates between 10º and 20º.

Unevenness

In Andalusia great unevenness exists, from the 0 meters of the level of the sea to 3482m.de the Mulhacén, ceiling of the Iberian Peninsula. The maximum altitude in which we can pedal is 3200m, bases of the Veleta, naturally is only possible in summer being useful defrosting. Since our region is very mountainous ascents and slopes are continuous, the unevenness varies according to the zone of Andalusia in which we pedal, little in the valley of the Guadalquivir and much in mountain range of Snows and Sierra Nevada.

Duration of the stages
