Route by the east of Andalusia that leaves from the coast going to the interior between mountain ranges. From Almeria Fortress through a spectacular route of great landscaping variety we will reach the provinces of Almeria, Granada and Jaén finding populated regions little and full of resistances.
In the province of Almeria we can find from crystalline water beaches in the natural park of Cabo de Gata to snow in summits of its high mountain that contrasts with desert zones of great beauty. The city of Almeria located in the south-east end borders of the Mediterranean, occupied the naval basic place during the Califato of Cordova, X century , getting to be one of the most prosperous Taifas kingdoms of the Almorávides. It is very well known throughout history by its commercial activity, and for being strategically important point in the control of the Mediterranean.
From Almeria we will advance North direction between the mountain ranges of Gádor and Alhamilla, to the west we will leave Sierra Nevada, and by desert land we will arrive at Gergal, located in the south skirt of the mountain range of the Filabres. We will happen to the north face to the east to enter the province of Granada between mountain ranges until arriving at the locality of Baza, head of the region. We leave north direction to the east the mountain range of Castril to enter the province of Jaén by the south of this one. We will happen to the mountain range of Cazorla to arrive at the locality of Jódar located in the northeast that leads to the Mágina natural park Mountain range, which we will take to find the monumental city of Jaén.
